Zak Barrett — Sax
Royal Northern College of Music graduate, saxophonist and clarinettist.
Zak Barrett graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music in 1999 and began a career as a saxophonist and clarinettist, both as a teacher and performer. He is best known for his work with guitarist Guthrie Govan in the band ‘the Fellowship’, and is co-founder and curator of the Writtle Jazz Festival, running since 2016.
Zak has appeared with artists including Mick Hucknall, Narada Michael Walden, Bernie Marsden, Ashley Slater, Nick Kershaw, Peter Andre, The Foundations and The Real Thing, and has supported Mica Paris and Martha Reeves.
